CONGRATULATIONS!
This year the 2010 Don Mattingly World
Tournament will be held at the City of Rio Rancho, located at the central region
of New Mexico from July 25-31. All teams must arrive in New Mexico on July 25h.
In order to coordinate the ground transportation and the check inn in the
hotel, we require the following information as soon as possible. It is very
important that you send it immediately after the state championship, prior to
your arrival to: Chuck Sheldon, NMAABC President, at csheldon@nmrea.com; fax

The ground
transportation for your team (coaches and players) vehicles have
been reserved at the air port for teams flying into Albuquerque,
Enterprise
auto rental has reserved 12 and15 passenger vans for the teams, for
questions contact Sharvonda Marquez, (505) 922-1440 or
sharvonda.d.marquez@erac.com. Parents and relatives may also
rent vehicles at the airport from Enterprise.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
All teams will be staying during the
tournament in the Hilton Garden Inn Rio Rancho, (505) 891-7557, fax
(505) 891-7564; The Inn at Rio Rancho;
www.riorancho-inn.com located in the beautiful city of Rio
Rancho. The hotel allows a maximum of four (4) persons (players &
coaches) per room, no exceptions. Prior to your arrival on
July 25th, we need to know how your players and coaches
will be accommodated per room. To help you in the distribution, a
form is enclosed to assign players and coaches by room. A
continental breakfast will be provided by the hotels.
The Don Mattingly Executive
Committee has already reserved rooms for all participating teams
(players and coaches). Each Manager/Coach must present a credit
card to cover incidental expenses, if any, for his team and room
rental. Parents must make their own reservations with Monica Pohl
at The Hilton, or at the Rio Rancho Inn, (group and convention
reservations office managers). Reservation can be made via email
www.riorancho-inn.com. You must specify that you are part of the
Don Mattingly World Series to receive the discounted rate.
BANQUET
On Sunday July 25th, at
(7:30pm) Honorable Major of the City of
Rio Rancho will welcome and host a banquet at the hotel for players,
coaches and parents. During this banquet all teams will be
introduced.
UNIFORMS
All players and coaches must wear
their baseball uniforms properly. It is mandatory to wear the AABC patch sewn in the left sleeves of the uniform before the first game.
Patches for the caps will be provided to the players. Some games
will be broadcasted by a local radio station. COACHES, are
required to use the appropriate helmet while coaching. REMEMBER YOU
MUST BRING YOUR OWN HELMETS! Remember, no one will be permitted to
participate in the tournament without wearing the baseball uniform
properly
COACHES MEETING
At 4:00 pm on July 25th
we will have registration, and there will be a meeting with coaches
and the tournament officers in the hotel, Rio Rancho Inn, to discuss
the tournament and bracket’s rules, game time hours and everything
else regarding the tournament, from 5 to 6 pm.
